Setting apart as Missionaries, Travels & the MTC

And so it begins……On September 3, 2024 Dave and I opened a letter that will forever change our lives. It began “You are hereby called to serve as a missionary of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.” After almost 4 months of preparation, the day is finally here. We are so excited. We were set apart today to represent the Lord as a minister of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Our purpose will be to help others come unto Christ by serving them as the Savior would. We will serve with all our heart, might, mind, and strength, and give of ourselves to lift others. We have been called to serve in the Australia Perth Mission and left today (with 250.7 lbs. of luggage) for the Missionary Training Center (MTC) in Provo. We will spend 2 weeks here. It was hard to leave those we love but know they will be blessed while we are gone. We are forever grateful for the love and support we receive from our family and friends and are excited to share this journey with each one of you. We have named our blog Walkabouts and Wallabies and hope you enjoy it as we share our experiences with each one of you. Come follow along with us as we embark on this journey of service to be the Lords hands in Australia.
